Italy, sea vibes, and a tiny sign

We’re by the sea in Italy, and honestly… it’s a completely different world from home. 🌊 The hotel is massive, like way taller than anything I’m used to. It even has a glass-wall lift, so when I go up and down I’m staring straight at the sea. 😱 The buffet is unreal, but the best part is that we can go to the beach anytime. I wake up, get dressed, and a few minutes later I’m already in the water. We eat dinner in the hotel restaurant, and every day the menu is different. The funniest moment was watching the chef make pizza right in front of us, spinning the dough so wildly I thought it would land on his head. 🍕

The weirdest tiny moment? A small yellow-brown butterfly landed right on my hand near reception. 🦋  It felt like a sign that maybe things at home between Mum and Dad will get better. ❤️

And yes, the photo at the top is amazing. That’s thanks to Mum; she’s a professional photographer. The butterfly image below? I tried generating that in an image app. Not bad, right? 🌈

    Birthday in a new home

Hi everyone, sorry I disappeared for so long, but the last few months were pure chaos. 🫣

Mum and I moved away from Dad to a tiny village near Tarleton. Things between them just got unbearable. Also, it’s so cold my brain feels frozen half the time. 🥶 We moved here at the start of January.

I woke up that first morning and everything outside was lightly covered in snow, that thin layer that crunches perfectly under your shoes. ❄️ And guess what, today I officially turned 14! No big cake, no balloons. Just me and Mum going for a walk. Near St John’s Church I could hear quiet music, like someone practising the organ. Then I noticed the cutest footprints in the snow. 🦊🦊  It looked like two foxes had a secret night disco and just spun around in circles. I don’t know why, but it made me really happy.

So yeah… sorry for being gone so long. I’m 14, slightly frozen, but full of new ideas. 💡

I’ll try not to disappear for another six months. Stay tuned. ✨

    Peanut and Pumpkin

Peanut and Pumpkin are Lucy’s guinea pigs and yes, you can try to guess who’s who!

Today was honestly hilarious. We popped out to the shop for a minute, and when we got back… the guinea pigs were gone. Just gone! We searched everywhere. Under the table, behind shelves, even moved the sofa back and forth like absolute maniacs. 😂 And then guess what. We finally found them in the kitchen, sitting on a cushion, staring at us like: “What? We’ve been here the whole time.” 😂

I know Lucy from school and we spend time together after school quite often. Tarleton is actually pretty nice. It’s quiet, but not in a boring way. Lucy lives with her dad in a cool house. It’s like the others in Tarleton, but they’ve got a yacht in the garden! Every time I go round, she looks at me like I’m some huge monster 😂 Just look at it! https://maps.app.goo.gl/kqRokP2owYRQtWtv7 Hope we get to take it out one day ✨

She also has two older brothers, Eric and Michael, but they’re at college in Liverpool, so they’re only home on weekends.  But honestly, the yacht and guinea pigs are the important part. ✌
